The Israelis are building long term insecurities for their nation state. Imagine a world in the which the USA isn’t the global hegemonic power. Imagine American for one reason or another decide they can no longer support Israel?

Building peaceful relations with diverse neighbors is the foundation for long term security. Genocidal mania in an attempt to broaden the borders, is the breeding ground for future terror.

Israel is laying the groundwork, the building blocks, for long term insecurity. Not security.

If one thinks extremism equates to well adjusted humans, economically thriving and flourishing societies I’ve got another populist candidate to sell you.

Israel needs that insecurity. They need enemies to unite against so that the country doesn’t fracture along the liberal/orthodox divide.

Any short term “forced” cohesion they build internally is now actually sowing the seeds of deeper long term fractures.

Wow. Is genocide fine if it doesn’t include literal gas chambers? I got the bright idea to compare these genocidal maniacs to Nazis and my first instinct after that forbidden thought was to think that it might be too much to compare them to Nazi Germany. But you know what? It fucking isn’t!

They still murder people directly. Those hospitals, Al Jazeera buildings, aid trucks or whatever else less newsworthy for the few who dare to be “antisemitic” and report on it didn’t bomb themselves.

If I had to choose, I’d rather get gassed than starved to death. Whine not exactly painless, it’s not even nearly as painful.

Not saying it is the same. Just that you can’t qualified immunity your way through genocide.

    • - Wait, but the BIG BAD GENOCIDE had GAS CHAMBERS! We don’t do that here!* - Oh, then all is forgiven 😇

    • - The BIG BAD also had CONCENTRATION CAMPS. Where are ours?*

    • - isn’t the entire Strip basically a huge one? 🤔*

    • - The BIG BAD also had FORCED LABOR and SS GUARDS*

    • - Not for the kids. They got gassed on arrival in the later stages. Or those “incapable of work”. Isn’t everyone in Gaza incapable of work by now, what with everyone starving to death 🧐*

Again, not trying to downplay the Holocaust. However, there is one crucial differemce which makes the current genocide infinitely more actionable: it’s happening now. The Holocaust ended about 80 years ago. The current one still fucking didn’t.

And again, there’s no qualified immunity for genocide.

Most countries have already scrapped birthright (getting a passport for being born on soil despite parents being illegal). There is no reason colonists of Palestine should be treated different.

Oh, it’s a message to future generations, alright. Probably not one that says what you would like it to though.

Huh. “Future generations” was not something I would have guessed the IDF is factoring into their plan. In fact their plan seems laser focused on preventing them from existing.

Someone needs to set off a nuke in Tel Aviv. It will serve as a reminder to future generations of Israelis to not run a fucking Apartheid state.

This is literally why the religious right in the US is so ecstatic about the whole thing- they’re setting the whole world up to want to root for the outcome that they’re striving for- the end of days as prophesied. It’s working flawlessly.

and the planet will burn for millions of years as all humanities follies are purged with the cleansing fires of our climate apocalypse.

Then hopefully, one day billenia from now, a new ecosystem will evolve and species better than us will live peacefully together.

Sounds like they took an antisemitic statement from any time in the past thousand or so years and just changed the names.

Treating people this way only sends the message of terror and violence. If there are going to be survivors of this genocide a need for retribution is completely understandable.

Does he understand the message being sent is that Israel should not exist anymore? They’ve also made themselves target #1 for all Muslim nations moving forward for ever more. Welcome to further destabilizing the Middle East! Wheeeee. Don’t worry folks, it’s necessary.
