This link specifically mentions that NAMI considers mental health part of men’s health month. And if you think an organization that is chaired primarily by women and is a massive LGTBQ advocacy group (as they still have their DEI initiatives in place) supports this b/c they’re trying to sow division, you have an agenda not a credible argument.

To my fellow men: ignore the gaslighters in here. NAMI endorses this month, and they are a highly regarded non-profit for mental health advocacy and support. I don’t think OP posted it here ironically b/c they actually posted the NAMI link outlining their support of men’s mental health.
Hope you all the best and take care of yourselves. Also, if you feel alone, NAMI has a search engine to help find support groups, meetup has a lot (just gotta expand your city search for remote meetups), always explore your insurance’s therapy coverage if you have insurance, and if all that fails, chatgpt provides some decent feedback and perspective without marginalizing your experiences like an asshole would.

politics @lemmy.world•Tim Walz says he may run for president in 2028 despite failure of Harris campaign
1·11 months agoI disagree. One of the largest groups to swing right were young men, and if you listened to many of their criticisms, they thought Tim was pandering to them which made them think he was disingenuous. If he tries to flip it in the next campaign, he’ll seem even less authentic. If he doesn’t, we’re at status quo. I don’t see that being different for any dem candidate, regardless of gender, without a change in approach.
I’m not saying their criticisms are right or wrong, but they are voters. Whether we like it or not, we need to listen to them b/c of that fact.
Even if the candidate was a woman, a genuine attempt to engage with them and find common ground would likely have a better chance at swinging enough of them than if we stick to Tim. However, knowing how people respond to being slighted and pandered to, I’m unsure there’s much of a chance to reach them anymore. But it would still be a better chance if we engaged with them rather than ignoring them.

4·11 months agoBeing POC is absolutely a huge factor in being bullied, and I never said it was only a POC thing. All the groups named can be bullied, but in the context of this article, POC-based bullying is absolutely a correct statement to bring up.

I would like to remind everyone that there are many MANY POC that deal with this, suicide or not. It’s much more common that POC are often the first to be bullied b/c others think they can get away with it. If you want this to stop, you have to call out every instance of it. It’s not just Trump that’s responsible. It’s also all those that sit back and let it happen. If you say you’re against it, then do something about it.

11·1 year agoLMAO, two things:
- screaming the same argument doesn’t make your conclusion more accurate b/c in this case, it’s the conclusion drawn based on the evidence that is flawed. So that link doesn’t negate the criticism no matter how often you blindly post it. Gender comparisons do not make for a population inference about either gender.
- thanks for proving i had a point. If you didn’t think I had a point, then you wouldn’t be acting like a 12 year old. Or, you’re straight up a 12 year old. Bigots and 12 year olds have difficulty grasping logic.
Enjoy your “life”. You really ought to touch grass and start thinking more critically. In the end, I know that your bigotry is yours alone. I don’t attribute it to other women b/c I have experience that most are normal ppl with a rather good head on their shoulders, just like men.
But like i said, if you wanna live a life of anger based on flawed thinking, go for it. The world is moving on without you, and you know you’re only pissed off b/c it’s true.
