Aww! We also learned of Churu because of our elder kitty. She passed last year, 20+yrs old. It ended up becoming her only meals aside from meds/supplements. It made me glad to see her still enjoying things and having energy to get around unlike when we were just using the rx food, which she didn’t like.

I try to do similar for our kitchen but one of mine just lays there and takes it at the ‘line’ between rooms. He is super food oriented so he’ll put up with anything to stay in the area. BTW I also train my cats to do tricks for treats, food oriented ones are the easiest to get to cooperate with that idea.

I also like to go around and wake everyone up midday when I take lunch (I work from home). Helps make them want to sleep, at least a little, at night instead of staying up being noisy assholes.

Maybe the issues is they do believe in the bible and christianity? This is the religion that wiped out any others that were not aligned with it’s specific message and goals. It absorbed it’s morals, rituals and holidays from the others it destroyed. I mean, there was a fucking inquisition! Crusades. How many have been murdered by not following the ‘law of god’ or not being in the ‘right’ religion? Is it really morally right to treat and trade women like possessions or farm animals? To kill the firstborn of everyone who disagrees? ‘Oh, we dont follow that part anymore, we cherry pick what we want to use and believe in.’

It does not take religion to have morals. Being religious doctrine, does not make a thing moral.

I am still catching up on all fantastic pics everyone got! One that also stood out to me was the 104 yr old man holding a sign about already fighting fascism o ce before. I should have saved it to share, though, maybe it’s right that I let that person find your post to share it.

I may not have enough context on this guy and how he stands on stuff but, I usually read “per” as in “stated by” which would mean he is relaying that bit from Walz. And wouldn’t make me worried this guy is backing the violence.

If if meant it as in Walz coordinated/hired the hit or something, then that is unhinged.

I wanted to note about the litter. We use the pine pellets from Tractor Supply. The caveat though, no real odor control (per store stuff is made with baking soda, farm stuff not). So, we buy a big ass bag from the wholesale store, use an old large spice sprinkling jar that we can refill, and sprinkle pretty liberally around, and then use some of the pet type of scented baking soda and do a light sprinkle. Use a little scoop to spread a lil and it’s good.

We have 4 cats, 6 boxes. Our pine litter goes in a standard pan and a hooded box. Then 2 of the hard zeolite pellet type boxes hat have the urine pad trays, and 2 auto raking boxes with crystal litter. Almost once a month someone will still hit the floor 🙄 Our girl has aim problems sometimes, but she’s still cute.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil! Amazing movie! I put it on one day just so I could check it off my list of new things out and, figured if I love the Evil Dead series (and also, as someone else mentioned in the thread, the Re-Animator) how awful could this be… it wasn’t. It was fantastic.

Enjoyed Little Evil too. So, I’m putting Colossal on my list right now!

Hello and welcome! I didn’t see a couple things mentioned that I thought were very helpful to me with the instance choosing, so I just wanted to pass it along…

If you look at your account kinda like an email, all the emails can communicate with each other, just like the instances can communicate. Though, an instance can also block another so thay it can not be seen/interacted with. Like, gmail deciding they will no longer accept yahoomail, for example.

.ml has been blocked by a variety of others, so you may be missing out on some interests elsewhere, that you would enjoy.

I use an app and have a few different accounts, the app lets me just swap my sign in profiles back and forth as I like. Sometimes a server goes down or an update goes bad. Having another account let’s you check in on the action, on those who are still up and running while the other gets worked on. You can even use the same name, your @ will just change.

Initial sign up is roughest step really… but not much harder than grabbing a new email!

I came back here to see if there were new additions, since I came across the post early on. I also really enjoy funk, with a favorite being Primus, well, anything Les Claypool really (His stuff with Sean Lennon, much more …trippy rock?, with Claypool Lennon Delirium, still excellent). They are a really heavy lil corner of the funk/rock spectrum though.

I am def going to check out some bubblegum funk now, it sounds like it should be an opposite spectrum sound experience!

Former Buckeye here, I agree with you. So many were positive their vote wouldn’t change anything. No amount of encouragement could make them see the power of the large numbers they held.

I hope some type of voting reform can catch on. I think Star, Ranked or anything better, could cause enough curiosity in how it works to encourage more people to register.

Well, if hypothetically, I was forced to vote, and thn for only one of these 2 parties only… well, I’m not a rich white guy, I’m not racist, misogynistic, don’t believe sharpies change weather… and, I don’t want to find out just how close he would be to starting the next Nazi party. Lmao! Moved to Ohio for a bit. Met someone from Michigan, who then totally hated on me for being a Buckeye, was totally baffled at the time. Glad to see it’s still going. I’ve always assumed, sports?

I lived there for almost a decade, about a decade and a half ago. It was so run down and dying then. People wouldn’t come see us there that we had known all our lives because it was so dangerous. Pizza places wouldn’t deliver down our street, we would have to walk to the main corner to get delivery. We paid a crack head to watch our house while we were away for a weekend.

I was in disbelief back when I heard about the factories deciding to build there after we had up and left… finally, after barely scraping enough together from living and working there. I wondered how they would fare but didn’t follow up on it then.

I researched and verified everything you said above, and informed some other family on Fb, that was trying to stir the shit. They would hear none of it.
