I’ve read all of them except City of Dreaming Books in English. Ruma is a very close second for me followed by the Alcamasters Apprentice. I wish I could speak/read German, there are a couple of titles of his that apparently won’t be translated for a reason I can’t remember.

‘The 13 &1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear’ is a wonderful novel and a super fun read. Easily my favorite of the Zamonia series by Walter Mores. I highly recommend this series

I’ve been wondering this for a while, wouldn’t you want your candidate to poll poorly so more people who otherwise wouldn’t vote and also prefer your candidate go out and vote? Wouldn’t higher polling numbers cause people to rest assured their candidate will win and then not worry about voting? Obviously polls mean nothing, go out and vote

I recommend going to a shelter and explaining your living situation. They care alot about finding the right homes for the animals and won’t pressure you into someone who isn’t right for your situation. Don’t go in expecting to adopt someone the first day, trust your heart but don’t rush anything. They all have their own personalities, don’t discount the shy ones they can become the most loving.

Outside of that, don’t declaw cats, don’t dock tail or ears, do have dew claws removed on dogs if the vet approves. Spay and nuetur.

Most importantly, just do your homework. This is a great place to start and I applaud you for asking. Find a vet near you, figure out costs, have what you need before your furbaby comes home.
