Chevy S-10. I think a 1999? Around that anyway.
Still miss that little truck. The clutch had two positions - on and off. It was a pain to drive but once I learned on it I could drive anything.
I still drive stick today.

I think the real problem is that they’re both trying to do what’s best for their people, and they’re both crap at being the best for their people.
Hamas and the IDF both want the other side dead dead. No matter who wins, that’s a lot of dead folks. The path to a peaceful resolution has probably become some convoluted and overgrown I’m not sure possible to hack our way through. But truthfully, that takes both orgs being willing to take that path and I’m not sure that’s on the table anymore.
Israel is winning and we’ve all got blood on our hands, btw. But if we backed Hamas and they were winning we’d have the same blood on our hands.

Very technically there are two (at least down here in Dixie Alley). The two months with the most tornadoes are April and January.

I mean, anecdotally, I do know someone that bought a new build in mid 2008 for about 60k-ish less than what everyone else in the neighborhood bought for (earlier or later). The company building out the subdivision was pretty desperate and he had a solid stable job as a trucker. He managed to get all kinds of perks and stuff too.

Oh yes, thank you for the clarification

Ummm… Billionaires are people? Imma need a source on that.

Do you actually think they’re shutting down USAID because they’re going to redirect those funds to fixing American poverty or infrastructure?
Your take on soft power is as ignorant as Trump/Musk’s. The game is being played no matter what. Russia and China are always playing. We just walked away from the table and any chips we have will quickly be stolen. As a rich, powerful county, we don’t have the option not to play (and stay powerful anyway).

Hey I’m a swing state voter! Can I sign up myself for the money? I will sign saying I support the first and second amendments (I really like that part in the second about the “well regulated militia”). I mean, $47 is $47.

You’re right, they should have just starved instead! So enlightened, thanks for setting us all straight!

The only people who don’t need credit to live are rich enough that money will never be out of their reach.

Also, your credit cards are a different kind of “loan” - revolving - vs those other debts, which are installment. Having a mix of the two will improve your credit. They literally want it to be impossible to have good credit without the cards.

The first time I wanted to finance a car I discovered I have what’s called a “thin file.” My (interest free) student loan wasn’t reporting to all 3 agencies. I was able to get my dad to co-sign. I was 26. Discovered then that being told “never ever ever own a credit card” (by my dad!) was very bad advice. Get one with a low limit and use it to pay the same bill every month. Credit! Now other places trust that you pay your bills.
I’ve since gotten several cards (it’s been nearly a decade) and they each serve a different specific purpose. I purposely target high signing bonuses and my purchases are better protected. My limits are stupid high, which I guess is nice but I’ll never put that much on so it’s a bit pointless. Then again, knowing I have access to that if things ever become dire is nice.

I mean, the containers are steel filled with concrete. We also leave our bridges and buildings outside, exposed to the elements.
The place in the world you are most likely to know the exact amount of radiation you are receiving at any moment is probably at a nuclear power plant. Its not like they just abandon them and never check on them or anything. They sit out in the open just… chillin. Being generally monitored but mostly just… chillin.

WIPP is for low level transuranic waste from DOE projects, just FYI. Not super toxic stuff. They ship it in these super tough containers that they test by dropping on a spike and putting in a furnace. Wild to watch.

Difficult considering social security isn’t a tax. Without looking it up my guess is that number rolls up the 14-15% of SS and Medicare taxes so the real number is lower.

No very believable. He can’t do full sentences like that.

Whoa, don’t call her a cunt. She doesn’t have the depth or the warmth.
I have a small house I purchased in a neighborhood full of renters. I bought during the low interest pandemic times, too, so my mortgage is less than most people’s rent. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would definitely sell my house for a better one (I make about 30% more now than when I bought, and the only reason I won’t move now is because of the interest rate). So many people have told me that I need to rent this place out rather than sell it. But I don’t have the ability to be the kind of landlord you described and therefore I know I shouldn’t be a landlord at all.
Does this take into account the value of the land? Solar notoriously takes up space so I’m curious how much space you’d need for a solar farm that could produce as much power as Vogtle…
I just live the little mohawk
