Alcohol is kind of a poison by itself. If you supply a lot and they drink it all up, they will barely function after a week. After a few months they can’t even function without it and health issues start.
You must have never met an alcoholic. People can function and be relativity healthy for years, even decades before the alcohol takes it’s toll.
if they only keep a certain level, yes. but if they drink up everything you drop at the front and even now are already too drunk to get up, it’s far from a functioning alcoholic. it’s one step away from lethal alcohol poisoning.
