    Maybe punching each other in the head until one contestant passes out from brain injury isn’t the best “sport”. Fucking idiots.

    Yeah they were channeling the spirit of ippo, whose strategy was to get punched until he got brain damage but keep fighting anyway, because willpower or something.

    Following the event, the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) announced all Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) title bouts will now be 10 rounds instead of 12.

    Oh good. 6 fewer minutes of head trauma will certainly make a difference.

    (Unironically a great manga, but terrible for boxing advice)
