To all the kind people who asked, I survived the last cat encounter.

Somehow, I escaped.

The food bowl was filled, negotiations concluded, and I thought the danger had passed.

Tonight, I returned to the couch.

That was my mistake.

I felt a familiar weight settle onto me.

Different cat.

Same position.

Same stare.

Apparently, word of my previous empty food bowl offense has traveled.

I don’t know if this is revenge, a warning, or simply the second shift reporting for duty.

But look at that face.

I’m not moving.

I’m not calling Marilyn.

And this time, before my phone dies, I’d like the neighborhood to know one important thing:

The food bowl is full.

So whatever happens next…

this time it’s personal!!!
