Alan Wake 2 and the completely annoying light/dark puzzles that must be completed to progress
Odo in Cyberpunk
Any souls game I play because I always end up lost (sekiro was fine).
ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS FOLLOW THE DAMN TRAIN CJ
Spec ops the line. White phosphorus.
Can I ask why? That’s where I gave up, but I keep having trouble articulating why.

How I Learned to Skate
At one point they make you control two characters at once. There is no way I’m doing that, not in a million years.
I tried playing Lorn’s Lure last weekend, it starts off pretty strong - you’re a robot that’s been wandering around in decrepit underground structures for hundreds of years, looking for a way out. You have to do a lot of platforming and climbing. I got into a massive shaft (a bit like the “Silo” series from Apple) and had to slowly climb down to progress.
I got randomly dropped down when hanging around on certain walls for no reason at all, to the point where I was literally five meters above the next progress point and died because of the fall damage. I then looked into the Steam forums and saw the developer saying he decided to build the game with linear pathing so people wouldn’t break out of the map.
It’s just shitty design to give you a massive level with a seemingly open approach to traverse it and then make a lot of the walls unclimbable, so I quit and will never come back.
Back in the day I also ragequit Driver 1 because of that stupid training level at the start. :D
God of war 1, rafters room. I rage quit that shit so many times.
The garbage tutorial in the Assians Creed for the switch
Also Hallow Knight is a game I did not enjoy
Celeste - wind physics, fuck dat. (Also me playing c-sides which took forever and I was already tilted and then the wind physics came.) Any multiplayer - kernel level anti cheat Pokemon - i lost all pokemon in my nuzlock grr… will play again soon tho Zelda, minecraft - i dont like exploring Civ - takes too long for one game
In general, long cutscenes at the top are a huge deterrent. I booted up clair obscur again…and like…shit just let me play lol I think im finally in the gameplay of it all but I almost gave up again. Just feels like you wanted to make a movie. Do that. But let me play lol
Starfield. God awful pacing and dialog that made you go “oh please shut up”. I went to neon and every vendor had a 5+ minute cutscene wah wah side quest story i couldn’t give a shit about.
“Oh somebody fucked my robot and now im sad so let me explain that again with 20 paragraphs” -Shop Keeper I don’t give a shit fuck about your dumb robo bitch i have 20 spacesuits i need to sell so i can fast travel again.
The fact they didn’t bother to add a dialog box first to access a service or buy/sell goods before the vendor starts telling you their life story was enough to make me not play again.
There was an Arkham game (the first one, so Asylum?). I had to escape some locked rom under a timer.
I literally couldn’t leave the room or find anything to interact with. I was swinging the camera around, kept pacing back and forth between locked doors and bars(?)
Eventually I ran out of time and the Jokes just said “boom!” On yhe screen and nothing else happened. I guess the timer was fake tension.
But anyway after spending three fucking minutes pacing in a single room for a single intractable I rather lost my taste for trying again
Octodad and the escalator. The effort of trying to move him up the down escalator was ridiculous.
