World News@lemmy.world•BREAKING NEWS: EU Commission announces preliminary tariffs up to 38% on Chinese EVsEnglish
18·2 years agoI mean there kind of is. As is stands, selling cars that emit CO2 will no longer be allowed after 2035. You could argue that that’s far too late, and I would agree, but there is a date and since car manufacturers usually plan ahead (I hope), there probably won’t be many fossil fuel-powered cars by then. It is, however, not strictly limited to electric cars. It just is not allowed to emit CO2.

45·2 years agoI don’t see how this is the EU’s fault. This is some German tax office revoking a status they had previously granted without any explanation. It seems typical for German bureaucracy though.

7·2 years agoCould you provide a source for the second part? I’m genuinely interested
fwiw I felt that RDR2 gives you an incredible amount of freedom. You can do so much even outside the main story. You can spend hours just traveling through the world and discovering things, helping / robbing people, hunting, etc. It’s the best game I’ve ever played and even after finishing the main story, there’s still lots to do out in the open world. The main story is usually done with cutscenes, yes, but it usually let’s you do the “active” parts yourself. Just the atmosphere of the game alone is absolutely worth it.
