I assume that server-side asset deletions are applied to client libraries. I.e. If I take a picture on my phone, but then later delete the picture from immich on another device, it will then also remove the original copy on the client (phone) that took it.

This is correct. But the port wont reply to anything but a valid client, so it should not be too apparent to a would-be attacker that you have a port open at all.


How well does your rpi keep up with transcoding? I have some 3bs laying around but I had assumed they wouldn’t handle jellyfin too well?

Theres an option to automatically merge libraries into tv and move lists. I think that it is only a user setting though.


And it works with google cast out of the box!


What are you using for files?
I somewhat regularly drive 9+ hours and split controls are not really comparable to just pointing the vents. If I am the driver, I need cool air blowing at me to keep me awake and alert. No longer having to compromise with passengers has been a pretty big improvement for a drive that long.
