You’re a sysadmin or a software engineer, not a non technical layperson like a teacher, accountant, nurse, web developer, etc. using a lenovo ideapad to do their taxes.

Depends on the car, I don’t think it’s too hard to find one from a scrapyard

Most people are also just not going to bother changing their OS lol. Most steam deck users are using Linux and most PC users are using windows.
I think it’s like why people don’t change the engine in their car, sure you could could get a better one but most people are happy with their engine and don’t want to mess with it

Windows users don’t think about or even realize that other operating systems exist

Sure but I would think Anubis would also somewhat stop DDOS attacks since clients need to pass Anubis to access the website and across a DDOS swarm that would use up significant resources.

Usually these kinds of services basically MITM HTTPS and re sign outgoing traffic with their own HTTPS cert.

Wouldn’t anubis be effective against DDOS attacks?

You can use Immich, it’s not perfect for this use case but it is searchable by content. You could just create a second account so you don’t even need to host an extra service

Europe definitely has those too

You can block traffic from clients that don’t have an HTTPS cert installed which lets you look at their traffic and make installing that cert part of the ohone’s carrier activation process. This is still silly though
I think the disturbing reality is just that rape and SA is much more common than people think it is
