I have no idea. I just saw it brought up in a local discussion post. I have zero interest in pokemon so haven’t bought anything myself.

Which will do no good against the people lining up at the vending machines in stations and such, waiting for them to be filled, and then buying most/all of their stock.

I’m not paying for a game that doesn’t allow changing difficulty if I want/need. I work two jobs and have to do most home cleaning and maintenance. I used to game competitively back in the early 2000s, but I don’t have time for that shit nor gatekeeping.

My step-uncle had one of these. He almost never pulled it out and certainly would not have let icecream anywhere near the thing.

I mostly grow hot peppers since they were hard to find fresh when I came here. I have a full English website and support for people who want/need it. Of course, the year I bought the place and started farming, another site revamped and added English support which kinda destroyed the advantage I thought I would have, heh.

I used to think that way. I live in rural Japan now so basically have to have one to do anything useful (especially buying farm stuff). But I lived without one for like 6 years, had I not moved so rural and begun to farm, I probably would still not have one.

Flying pre-9/11 was a whole different ballgame. Flying domestically in Japan is pretty close, especially at the smaller regional ones. My closest airport doesn’t even fly to Tokyo because everyone just takes the shinkansen (bullet train)

I have. Bus in Columbus, Ohio. Took my wife (Japanese) to the US to meet the family with a stop in DC to see the Smithsonian first. Her first US train experience was a woman sleeping it off in a puddle of piss right by the doors.

This is true. I was thinking of some worst-case scenarios as to implementation where they decide that those people who gave birth to those children weren’t really American or whatnot. I would not put it past the administration to deny applications for any and every reason they think they can get away with.

Not that they care, probably, but doesn’t this run against UN conventions because these people would essentially be stateless?

Yeah, I’ve been remote for most of the last 20 years. Some people seem to lack object permanence and organization skills and completely forget that their remote coworkers/subordinates exist.

I moved back in 2015 and, while many things about my personal situation are better (though not all), that doesn’t solve the actual problem. Things happening in the US still impact the rest of the world no matter what.
