I set up Affine and Kanboard to help with various projects. I got fed up of Notion, Trello, and/or a git repository full of documents.

I enjoy some GUNSHIP, especially because their music videos are excellent. Timecop1983 is well worth listening to. Mac Quail is on there, he did the soundtrack for Mr. Robot. Vangelis is on there, famous for the soundtrack to at least Bladerunner.
There are more that I recognize as good artists, too.
Source: I make synthwave music with my friend. :-)

Is there a list for slightly longer stories? I don’t mind a short story now and then, but I feel like a 6-minute story barely scratches the itch for me most of the time.
Edit to say that I mean longer than an hour, too. I filtered this list by length and they’re all very short, which is the point, obviously.
I guess I’m looking for a novella, or something like 4 hours in length, perhaps.

I think you’re making problems where there aren’t any. A device PIN or fingerprint along with Signal is probably way more secure than any family chat needs to be.

I found Beacon 23 by Hugh Howey to be a little too optimistic to be realistic in the end. I don’t mean that in a bad way, as I thoroughly enjoyed the story, including the ending. I’m just too much of a pessimist. :-)

essteeyou@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Matthew Perry dead at 54 in apparent drowningEnglish39·2 years agoSoaking in a bathtub or basking in a sauna can be a pleasant way to relax. Done on a regular basis, both habits may also help prevent heart attacks and strokes, according to several studies.
“The high temperatures in a warm tub or sauna cause your blood vessels to dilate, which lowers blood pressure,” says Dr. Adolph Hutter, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. The volume of blood your heart pumps will also rise, especially in a hot tub. That’s a result of the pressure of the water on the body, which increases the heart’s workload, he explains.

How am I supposed to know which bit of the image is important to look at?
I do like Trello, but Kanboard is a pretty good replacement. Lacking some polish, but it’s a trade-off I’m willing to make.
