My first thought was: “I didn’t know that flutter is developed by mozilla”

Written in 2021 and not including julia is weird imo. I’m not saying it’s faster but one should include it in a comparison.

If you want to secure it, use selinux and add :Z which truly eliminates the possibility
WebOS is linux and uses a webview of jellyfin iirc. I use a fire tv stick because it can play everything, including 10bit HDR DV. The ads are annoying but it could be worse. I only use it to start jellyfin and two other apps. I hate needing an amazon account. If you find another android tv stick that works equally well, use that one.

Programming@programming.dev•Cognitive Debt (A term to describe the costs of skipping thinking)
12·10 months agoCognitive Debt is where you forgo the thinking in order just to get the answers, but have no real idea of why the answers are what they are.”
I’m going to spend some time this month working through the impactions of this, and I’m already talking to some friends on what we might put together as a result.
Maybe you are interested in reading Kant and his maturity which means to think for yourself and not following others blindly. 1800 CE. Further readings date back to Siddhartha Gautama in 500 BCE. I think there are a lot of similarities.

I have no idea. Speedport from vodafone, ipv6 is enabled but I don’t use it 😅 I’m not behind some NAT
Cool, thx!
For me to switch, I’d need a simple tutorial on how to do it. Something that I could learn and solve first problems within a day or weekend. I hope it’s not grub level difficult

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish
9·10 months agoCome on, you’ve got a password manager that saves passwords and usernames. It couldn’t be more convenient to login.
Why would you give the responsibility to google for your logins?
Why would you lock yourself into the vendor google by using their login system for every other service? You can’t migrate anywhere easily.
I’m just not enabling such a method. It’s not implemented. People who don’t think about it and hence don’t care usually still use the service eveb if they cannot use “login with google”

In that case it’s the problem of jellyfin iirc. Because jellyfin uses “the wrong” artist. Can you select another “artist” tag?

It’s also trained on other people’s code, it may use outdated, inefficient, or otherwise bad code. If it would be trained on my code, I’d like it much more
