But it IS solvable, if a restaurant’s goal wasnt purely to earn the most money possible, I would think. Maybe not on-demand but if they knew you’d be eating daily (subscribtion?) then having a slower no-contaminant part of a kitchen making dietary-different meals would be a nice addition.
A recent one I found: If you get a pain in your back that returns whenever you walk… Take a trip to the wildest wilderness you can reach without needing to walk there, then start walking on uneven terrain. It is a huge difference on the muscles the body need. And just a forest path with a few roots isnt enough. Get off the path. Take the harder route. And be careful to not hurt yourself, of course.
Nice to hear it not framed around health only, for once. From most advice it is seemingly impossible to live a healthy life if you dont cook yourself six days a week. Which seems ridicilous. Particularly for one who doesnt enjoy cooking (even though I do know how to cook decent meals).
Wish there was restaurants around here that was more like mess halls, priced at a level everyone could afford to eat at every day, made from healthy local ingredients, shared tables, no attempt at “mood” or theme, no waiters, you get whats served today and no alternatives except for those with particual dietary needs. I ate at the local poor-house once and it was almost what I would have wanted if they just got rid of the preacher and added a payment terminal. I heard those kinda eateries were common back around the early 1900. Why we at some point decided that everyone should mostly cook their own meals, or buy over-salted pre-made meals, and that restaurants should either be a luxury and involve a lot of waiting for a table and a waiter and the meal and the oversized bill and the waiter again to pay, or be fastfood so unbalanced that nobody should really eat it daily.
You might already heard this one but I didn’t learn until a relatively recent internet meme that its only here in Norway that something being “complete texas” means its completely chaotic and messy.
Also I’m using “what the fir forest” (“hva i granskauen”) as a replacement for “what the hell” and I have no idea where I’ve picked it up… Nobody else around me do, not even family. Works just as fine though against pain and annoyances.
Or YOU could hack the company by stressing him about bugs and offer your help to fix them.

Veidt asked the precognitive being if his plans for utopia would come to be, and if it was all worth it in the end. Osterman cryptically responded by saying “Nothing ever ends”, and teleported away leaving Veidt once again in doubt as to whether or not his plan was successful.
From what I understood, he spent the whole story acting super-sure about what would happen if he did nothing, and how he alone could fix it. But in the end of the comic, this showed he had doubts. Veidt didnt have precognition, just very good prediction. But also an over-inflated ego. He killed a lot of people for a “maybe”.
I cant see Ozymandias as a good guy. At all. None of the “heroes” are, but Oz was the worst of them.
The way I see it, explaining others also helps me understand it better. If its so basic (or too advanced) that I get nothing out of explaining, then I leave it to better suited people to help them instead. Being on these kindsa forums, its supposed to be enjoyable for both the teacher and the student. I don’t see any shame in dropping it as soon as it turns frustrating.
My first dreams and memories is from around 3 year old too. And yes, I too can only guess if it was real or dreams from context. Maybe a mix?
One cool thing is that I recently got one memory confirmed from a photograph I’ve never seen until now. 34-ish years later. Damn impressive what brains choose to remember sometimes.
My usual dream location I’ve returned to so often that I know where places are in relation to each other. It is a patchwork of my home area but with nearby areas that I can’t remember ever having seen IRL. Almost all my dreams, since I was a kid, takes place in this personal dream realm.
It has expanded with new places as I’ve grown though. Latest addition is a cruise ship, with extremely many decks, and a single one-person elevator. I had a room at 58th floor of 85 floors(!) in my dream a few weeks ago. And I had some trouble getting the elevator to the right floor, of course. I always have trouble getting places in dreams.
Another strange quality is that sometimes events of a dream triggers my memory of an older and often forgotten dream. Not as old as OPs, but usually weeks or months back.
Having a job with the right level of challenges, and freedom to approach it how one want, is the best job to have. I’ve worked at a place like that for more than a decade now. I could probably move on to better paid jobs, but I’m hesitant to let go of my current workplace.
First winter in a long while that hasn’t been hell, the new anti-depressants stopped my winter depression. And even helped a bit against my year round depression.
I’ve started a weekly swimming session too. Haven’t been good at following it after the snow came, but its still progress.

Terrible Star Wars fan fiction is what we get anyway, just look at Disney’s trilogy. Its already changed. Its creator(s) doesn’t even have a say anymore. If anyone could make Star Wars, we could vote for the one taking it in the best direction with our wallets.
Theres of course a bit room outside of established universes, but why should we, when its the in-universe story that has occupied our minds for decades? Why re-invent everything for every story now when we once didn’t have to? What gives modern people this permanent ownership of an idea that past people didn’t? Why aren’t we allowed to use Hobbits, but we use halflings which everyones know is just hobbits in all but name. Why can’t we use Beholders and Illithids when its common knowledge what they are? What if Santa Claus was a copyrighted character belonging to Coca Cola? Or still belonged to the Dickens family so Coke never hired an artist to create the Santa Claus as we know today?
Also this obsession with “canon”, its stories not actual events. Its fun to have a shared understanding of past fictional events, but obsessing too much over it isn’t healthy for the fiction. But thats a different discussion.
If your idea of retelling and improving upon a story is to carefully create a similar-ish general plotline in a different setting that doesn’t overlap enough to be sued by the previous author, for “retelling and improving”… You miss out.
How crazy it is that creators have to go out of their way to not name something that looks and act like a lightsaber, a lightsaber. For a century! Everyone knows what a lightsaber is. It is part of our culture now. But we cant re-use them as is in any creative work (except for parodies) without begging Disney to pay for the privilege to use it if we are well-known enough. Its silly.

My chiropractor made a small suggestion that a walk in the forest could help, and I discarded it because I was already “walking in the forest” a lot. Except I kept to the well-trodden paths. And I walked on asphalt to get to the forest. And it didnt really help. And the exercises he told me to do at home didnt really do much.
