15·10 months agoCounterpoint, but CREATING content like this is 90% of the reason, and these people should be remembered in history as the cockroaches they are. I can at least understand people who get mad at bait.

5·10 months agoWe’ve been trying to warn you americans not to just do idle threats.
Do the not so idle ones without the warning. If you’re going to get sent to El Salvador, make it worth while.

3·11 months agoI was deep in the crowd, and the way it was put up on the screen made it seem like a “don’t worry about it guys, we figured it out!” Before we knew what it was and I didn’t want to stick around to find out after the show.

10·11 months agoWent to a music show around 2022 and was in the middle of the crowd when they put an alert up on the big screen telling everyone to stay calm with the grateful dead bears and all I could think was “must be someone with a gun if they’re being so nonchalant about it”. No calls to evacuate, just “everyone chill out, we got another one”.
Didn’t really give me a warm and safe feeling, and have no interest to go back regardless of who is in power because of it.

3·11 months agoIt’s not their place to start an international incident that gives the US their “justification” to invade.
The people of Greenland are relying on the people of the US.

2·11 months agoDumb question but should there be VPNs operating on both ends, server and client? Or just the client because I’m guessing the server might change the connection address.

World News@lemmy.world•‘We stand here as Jewish men who refute the Holocaust being hijacked’: Jonathan Glazer calls for end to Gaza attacks at OscarsEnglish
62·2 years agoAm I crazy or have I not seen most of the Jewish population speaking out against what the Israeli government is doing? Isn’t it something like an 85% disapproval rate of their government of Israeli citizens too? This is what is making me confused with a lot of the attacks I’ve seen on the Jewish population of the world, it seems they’re much more against the governments actions than I’ve been reading Palestinian peoples views of Hamas.

42·2 years agoNot sure what a single parent household has to do with how anyone is as a person ultimately? Quite a thing to add to the comment. Aren’t like 45% of marriages ending in divorce nowadays?

134·2 years agoAhh, so still an extremely stupid reason to flash your weapon.
Row houses maybe, but there’s an adversity to condo fees which usually come along with every other source of housing. A lot of people want to feel like they own their home outright, so that once their mortgage is done being paid off, all they need to worry about is the hydro, water, and property taxes. There’s a lot of stories about condo groups doubling condo fees that put others off those types of places.
I’d be lying if I said the castles weren’t one of the biggest reasons for my interest. I spent the better part of the past year playing Kingdom Come Deliverance, and it’s broiled an interest in that part of the world’s history for sure. Your comment makes me feel like I’m making the right choice!
