I’m a dog and this article is seriously aggravating.
I used to immerse myself in the depths of the burning eye in the sky all the time as a kid. Stared for minutes on end. May have some permanent eye damage, but I also used to press fingers into my eyeballs at night to see the blobiverse, and gazed into the perfect red of my laser pointers. I was a dumb kid. Still am at 35. Though my hearing is perfect.
I listen to audiobooks to dispell my own thought.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Does the US have zero employee protection laws??
27·2 years agoFew protections, but high wages in the tech industry has gone a long way in keeping the US tech workforce fat and content.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are easy to present criticisms of mainstream outlets like BBC and CNN?
5·2 years agoBig media companies are made up of people. Even the best journalists are prone to making mistakes. Sensationalist stories should always be read at an arms length. And even some respectable news organisations hire viral copywriters to generate ad-views. Don’t read that shit.
But do read news from real journalistic publishers with a professional principal editor. Don’t fall into the deep end conpiracy snuff trap.

It’s an aquired taste.
Also it doesn’t have to be from enemies.
Some prefer grovbrød with brunost.
