Tumblr will probably join fediverse soon, if the announcement is correct. A lot of people are asking about Pinterest alternative in fediverse, but I never saw one. Btw, for anyone looking at a Flickr alternative, I feel like they should look into https://vernissage.photos/ .

This is a pretty nice app for apple devices.

This app supports Mastodon, BlueSky and Misskey (and some other *key forks)
Ooh sorry, I thinking like Misskey. In the English translation, they use note and renote to replace tweet and re-tweet from Twitter era
rename boosting to re-tootin
I would say reserve re-tootin for when quote post lands on mastodon
Stop fucking tagging literally anyone who was ever involved in a thread
OMG yes. It is so annoying it is like someone keep hitting reply all in an email. And it is not just mastodon, *key does this too.
Someone on mastodon told me, if you haven’t found someone on fedi, you are probably not looking hard enough. But no, I don’t think they are on fedi
check this out: https://piefed.social/post/489178 This doesn’t answer your question completely, but you get an idea of what is possible
I feel like there should be a dedicated fedihelp community for stuff like this. Also, if you have any microblog account (like mastodon), try asking for help with hashtags like #fedihelp or mentioning the account @FediTips@social.growyourown.services if you don’t get any answer here.
It looks like someone is spmming the issue tracker of Codeberg/org with mass mentions
I see that I forgot to add a question mark and incurred the wrath of some very opinionated lemmy users.
We consider bluesky as part of fediverse?
I swear I have seen this “free speech instance” nonsense at least 3 or 4 times before this in the last month. All with similar combination of words. This is probably a same troll.
George Takei is active of mastodon. There are many journalists and scientists. Tons of developers. A few small celebs. Also, many people I don’t want to be here are not here. That’s a plus for me.
set up a monthly contribution even if it’s just $2/month
I remember somewhere on the fedi, some instance admin saying that on average it cost $2/month per user. So, if you are relatively active on the server, $2 monthly recurring donation might cover your share of expenses. maybe not a very good idea
how I can make a difference

All fedi network = Mastodon, Threads, BlueSky, Nostr
Because, lemmy, misskey, pixelfed, mbin, friendica etc are not part of fedi network
Yes, that is correct. Although, calling it a flaw was a bit wrong on my part. It us by design. Paraphrasing someone on the internet: activitypub federation is pull rather than push. The downside of this is, some info will never reach you. The upside is: self hosting activitypub software is possible even with limited resources.
I was excited about this feature, but maybe it is not such a great idea.
