Thanks for this! I didn’t know about symlinks so with the help of the trash guides site the other poster mentioned I was able to get it set up.

It’s not perfect and it’ll be a minor chore to refresh the libraries but it’s better than it was.

Also, in the process I discovered that I am dumb, and I overlooked the “mixed movies and TV” option when adding my library before. I just added the same one twice, once as movies and once as TV. It worked for Plex but obviously caused issues in jellyfin. Doing it the correct way also gave me the no frills directory structure style that I was looking for. I’m using the symlinks for now but if I get tired of the upkeep my friends will just have to deal with the slightly less aesthetic version.

It also semi consciously feeds into the misogynistic trope of calling/implying that men are feminine as an insult. It’s just a bad look all around

Check out ground news. It’s designed to clearly and fairly show bias in news coverage and lets you compare multiple sources side by side. Their free level is not very good imo but the cheapest subscription adds a good amount of utility and the higher tiers even include media ownership breakdowns so you can see whose money is behind which coverage.

They also have optional emails like a “burst your bubble” newsletter that showcases blindspots for left right and center.

My one gripe is that they consider too many sources “left” when they are mostly just aligned with a center-progressive demographic, but that’s a minor quibble for me.
