They keep on doing it because it’s an addictive substance and/or as a form of self harm, unfortunately. Benadryl is very cheap and easy to get, so troubled teenagers try it looking for a break from reality, thinking hallucinogens are all similar. Then they often get stuck taking it every day, destroying their health. It’s very sad.

Cause they can’t!1!
But for real, for those who are curious: the border between Germany and Poland is effectively the border between western and eastern Europe. So to Slav people Germans lived right over there, and yet spoke something incomprehensible; so we called them “mute” (in Poland at least). If I can’t understand you you are mute to me, basically. And the word for “Germans” is the same as for “Germany”, so we call the country itself mutes 😅
They make a click-clack sound whey they hit the floor before the flip flop, like dog nails

1·4 months agoSure? Christianity? Nah, atheism. I just don’t walk around believing stuff just because other people believe it. And if reincarnation is real I don’t see it as coming back, you’re a different person after all.
I would never lick my lips if they were dry, it would just make it worse.

It’s a study; I imagine they controlled for age and other factors if the article states the study “found”, not “suggested” or similar looser term. It’s not an opinion, but a result of a scientific process. Your dislike for term “gamer fact”, even if it’s a bit cringe, doesn’t change that.
Just a simple example I googled:
- Sit in a quiet, comfortable place.
- Set a short time limit if you’re a beginner (e.g., 5–10 minutes).
- Focus on your breath and notice bodily sensations.
- Gently return your focus to your breath when distractions occur.
With body sensations, you can focus on the taste in your mouth for a minute, then switch to sounds you hear, how your fingertips feel etc. I usually close my eyes to better focus on each sensation. Just relax and gently observe what you experience right now.
I agree 100%. It’s a shame, because pretty much everyone would benefit from just trying to meditate once in a while.
These are some of the most common problems people seek therapy for, and there are several methods therapists teach to address these, such as meditation and mindfulness. It takes practice, but they have a lot of potential to help with intrusive, snowballing thoughts. You can practice anytime and mostly anywhere, but doing it is the hard part.
No, then you are the Toronto airport. Which the song title refers to.

8·10 months agoIt’s so funny, because in my case airdrying is one of the worst solutions. My hair gets very frizzy and flat while still curly. What I have to do instead is to immediately lie down with wet hair and kinda squish it against the pillow. When I wake up in the morning it’s voluminous and mostly not frizzy.
Well, the “mówić” part is not present, the root of the word is more similar to “niemy”, meaning “mute”; the Polish word comes from “non-speaker”, as in “not speaking at all”. but that’s just speculation on my part, I’m no linguist or etymologist 🤷♀️
