Deer, birds, chipmunks. The entire garden needs to be protected by hardware cloth. The chipmunks got through the original chicken wire we had. We had to enclose the top as they climbed over. Plus the small birds eat any berries. A constant battle to be able to harvest anything.

What are the chances of violent destruction in the "vacuum" of space, when going "relatively" fast19·2 months agoKe=1/2 M V^2 Not relativistic. So wildly low. But certainly a low bound. My point being that nuclear bomb grade energy is certainly in the ballpark.

The Hiroshima bomb is listed at approximately 10,000,000,000,000 joules. I bet xkcd is far more accurate, though.

Like crocodile but not spelled that way.
My concerns:
How do I know that someone with access to the list of members won’t get bribed or blackmailed into sending it to the cops?
How do I know that this isn’t just a front for cops?
A strike needs simple demands that can be met in short order. If they can’t meet the demand, you can’t end the strike. Demanding “Climate Action” is a non-starter.
Being composed of a large number of separate organizations makes a unified voice all but impossible. The message must be simple and consistent.
IMO, first step is enumerate the new order. A clear and concise foundational document of some kind. A new constitution? A set of amendments? A new Bill of Rights? Get to the core, don’t just list grievances.
You could try oven cleaner…

But I’ve considered participating in a kind of underground railroad for immigrants, out-of-state women needing abortions, protesters, and other victims of this situation. A grassroots kind of network. I own a house and have a spare bedroom and a pull out bed in the basement. Even one life saved matters.
I have some old family photos (1940s) that I’d love to have identified. All of the folks are dead, and I can generally ID the date by the ages of the kids. In NYC, but where? If you start a community, I’ll be there.
A job. I got laid off. Things are getting tight.
