2 years agoOn iOS there is GPX Tracker which simply records a GPX track and can overlay openstreetmap data while doing so.

6·2 years ago@eli04@linux.community das ist wahrscheinlich die richtige Antwort. Aus deinen anderen Posts kann man lesen, dass du im Gesundheitswesen tätig bist. Du arbeitest wahrscheinlich auch am Wochenende.
Im übrigen kann bei vielen Fragen auch dein Betriebsrat oder ein Ansprechpartner deiner Gewerkschaft helfen. Dort sitzen Menschen mit dem nötigen rechtlichen Hintergrundwissen.
Auch wenn der Wirkstoff derselbe ist, kann es Unterschiede in den Inhaltsstoffen oder dem Transportweg in den Körper geben. Eine gute Ärztin hat das auf dem Schirm und beachtet diese Merkmale bei der Wahl des Medikaments.

Hi! I was in your situation in January. I went for a used two bay Synology 720+ model, that came with 10GB RAM and a used WD Red 4 TB WD40EFRX.
The main reason I switched to a NAS was an easy way to share our children’s photos with my SO. Synology is perfect for this, because the photos app has face recognition and can search through location data, which is coming in handy with 25K photos.
Second thing I wanted to do on the NAS was the whole backup strategy of our laptops. At the moment we rely on cloud backups, but I wanted to change this to a solid 3-2-1 strategy. On top the cloud backup never really worked on my SOs laptop.
I had no ambition with selfhosting, but am familiar with Linux. At the moment I have a paperless instance and jellyfish running. I plan to put some shows for the kids on it, my CD collection and am ripping my DVDs.
Until now the process was very smooth. Paperless has some minor hiccups I could iron out, but the whole Synology infrastructure is really solid.

This is my experience as well. I would add: if you like to tinker and have time to spare, use Linux. If you want a Unix and have more money than time, buy a Mac.
Das ist der beste Rat. Die Deutschen kaufen zu viele Versicherungen. Essentiell sind:
- die Haftpflichtversicherung. Die Angebote hier gleichen sich meistens sehr, so dass man die günstigste Variante nehmen kann. - die Krankenversicherung (du wirst normalerweise a utomatisch über deinen Arbeitgeber versichert, wenn du einen deutschen Arbeitsvertrag hast)

😳 Ich glaube die Pläne aufs Land zu ziehen, lege ich erstmal ad acta.
Für dein Beispiel gebe ich dir recht. Allerdings existiert der Open Document Standard ja. Es würde alleine schon reichen, wenn Behörden verpflichtet wären ihre Dokumente nach diesem Standard zu erstellen. Microsoft unterstützt diesen Standard. In Folge wäre der Nutzer auch in der Lage diese mit LibreOffice und Co. unproblematisch zu bearbeiten und müssten sich kein MS-Programm dafür zulegen oder sich mit kaputten Formatierungen herumschlagen.
Wenn MS den Standard nicht sauber umsetzt, hat man als großer Kunde auch eher die Chance, dass der Fehler behoben wird.
docx Schein Microsoft übrigens schon zu offen zu sein. Im M365 Kontext wird gerade MS Loop eingeführt, das dokumentenagnostisch ist (basiert nicht mehr auf der DIN A4 Annahme, sondern aus Komponenten wie Tabelle, Aufgabe, …, die in Teams, E-Mail und so eingebunden werden können. Natürlich kann man Loop-Inhalte nicht einfach in andere Formate exportieren.

I have limited my usecases for selfhosting and thrown money at the problem. The usecases are:
The last one is expendable. The first three are backed up into the cloud. I use a Synology, thus throwing money at the problem. Their cloud backup just works.
Edit: use cases I do not self host are a mail server for example. The stress outweighs the 12€/year I pay for the service.
