The way they behave I think they meant to use “and” instead of “or”.

Nah I think it was when Nixon won the Presidency. You can draw a straight line from that corrupt fuck to so many of our current problems.

Is he lying? He’s just dressing formally and showing off how heels don’t have to be just for women.
DeSantis for gender equity in clothing 2024. Let it happen (but don’t vote for him plz).

Because they only get famous enough to get votes by being outrageous enough to score headlines.
They’re very similar to the Taliban in that regards.

I don’t have a great perspective on Israel and Hamas but all reports seem to be converging on the point that Bibi failed Israel and may have also deliberately fucked over Gaza.

Just Google it, the advice you always hear when the other person is shutting down any more conversation. What an unfortunate result

I bet they could get the Democrats’ help! All they have to do is nominate a Democrat for Speaker. What a beautiful opportunity for bipartisanship!
…wait that’s not what they meant?

That “game” of which you speak is an appeal to privilege in its most obscene form: claiming an ancestral myth that allows you to impact extreme violence against other humans whose only crime is being born into the wrong bloodline.
It’s 2023 CE out here but some cultures are pretending it’s 2023 BCE

Republican politicians live by “I’ll be gone, you’ll be gone” at the end of the day.
They know the rest of us will be stuck holding the bag.

I remember thinking a similar thing in early 2016

I can’t think of a rule more likely to drive children into religion than banning children from religion.
Couple that with the very natural existential crisis moment kids have when they really start thinking about their own mortality and you’ve got a recipe for another religious Great Awakening.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say religions are doing great at driving the next generations away by doing whatever they’ve been doing.

Conservatives “would”?
They literally just did. They invented fake rules about when a sitting president should be allowed to appoint justices and as a result our democracy will be completely gone within a decade.

You’re not wrong in your assessment, but part of the point of holding your government to account is that you hold the institution to a higher standard than the individuals it governs.
That doesn’t show through in your write-up at all.

Your “solution” is the exact sort of thing that led to a bunch of libertarian assholes ruining parts of rural New Hampshire, and much to the chagrin of the preexisting community.
There isn’t really any open land anymore. It’s all owned, overwhelmingly in private hands.

Is it bad that I read this and immediately think “my God it’s mid September and the Australian cops have only murdered two civilians this year?”
I think the US hits that number within 5 minutes past midnight on the New Year.

This is Florida. I’m surprised no one has shot them or run them over already. No one likes Nazis

The most cruel parts of executions tend to be when the method fails. It’s a fair question.
I don’t believe the death penalty should exist. But I also think an airtight chamber would be a much better way to induce hypoxia than a cheap-ass mask. Given the state where this is happening, I don’t have a lot of confidence they’ll even know how to ensure the mask gives an airtight seal.

“Wait, why is there a passport control here? There’s no national border here on this map.”

I think you’re right about that part. What I’m expecting is that baiting the judge will be part of trump’s strategy: “look at how terrible this judge is! I can’t even speak in my own defense!”
The one think he is good at, is in generating mountains of bullshit to spin the narrative for his followers.
Excuse me wut
