Personally, I agree with your mindset, but I’m pretty handy with fixing/maintaining my own vehicles. For someone needing something to reliably get back and forth to work/school/daycare, I understand why people don’t go this route. Shop lead times have skyrocketed in the last few years, as have repair prices. Sometimes you just need something you don’t have to worry about.

- If you’re buying toys at Spencer’s, you’re probably not after super high quality/expensive toys.
2)For those unaware, a blanket “no” is easier to remember and safer to follow.
3)If you’re in the market for platinum grade cured toys, then you are already well past this learning experience.

My brother has an NB for years, so I’ve had plenty of seat time in one of those as well. They feel really similar to the NA, with better suspension travel. Great cars!

I’ve got an old Miata that I’ve had for years, similar situation. I’ve thrown a ton of money at it, full well knowing I’ll never see it back. But she’s mine, she runs great, and I have no intentions of selling.

Quite simply, kids end up here because of their parents decisions. Since they are here, the decision was made that more harm would be caused (and more money spent) depriving these people an education instead of just letting them be kids.
