Bluesky, as a user feels like Twitter used to be.

Threads is the most enjoyable, I feel.

Mastodon, I don’t get. I’ve been on it awhile but it’s becoming used less and less by me because I don’t see content I’m interested in our want to engage with and I don’t know how to change it.

Essentially, everyone is on bsky now. News organizations FINALLY decided to leave Twitter and are spinning up their bsky accounts.

I mean, it’s accurate to a point. Western Ukraine is like, “woo 🇪🇺 western civ!” Meanwhile, to the west of western Ukraine, eastern Moldova is like “Do svidaniya 🇷🇺 comrades!”

My wife and I both came to the same realization on our own. We need a firearm with stopping power when the Criminal in Chief’s jackbooted thugs come for this liberal poisoning the blood of our nation.

I’ve been using this account for over a year since the Rexodus. Haven’t had this disinterest problem. Do I wish there were more users, sure, but it takes time. Work on making this place great and they will continue to move here. Create, mod, or just post to a niche community.

So I have been on Mastodon and Threads for quite awhile. I’m on BlueSky now too. Threads is the most enjoyable of the three by far. I don’t see how marketing has to do with it in any way, but after spending some time on each, I prefer Threads. It’s the only one that I’ve found content I wanted to engage with.

With Mastodon, I feel like I still can’t get started. I’m not sure what to do.

Voyager is the best at the moment. There are a few other full featured ones. People always recommend Jerboa but when I looked at it I think it was lacking moderation tools. I’ve also used Sync, Thunder, and something else. You’re on the right one now. No need to change.

The only feature that I am after still is the ability to browse other instances without searching. You can’t do that yet in Voyager.
