Why can’t you do the dishes at the same time? If the fish is wrapped tightly enough it should be fine.
They think USA bad (based), Russia good (cringe)

DivineDev@piefed.socialto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Better check the closet, tooEnglish19·1 month agoUntil their partner finds the note and gets distrustful of them. Sure, in a stable, long-teen relationship it probably won’t be an issue but I’d rather not have some random person try to drive a wedge my relationship.

I’ve never heard of this cowboy <something> however.

DivineDev@piefed.socialto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•We all know grammar Nazis. What incorrect grammar are you completely in defence of?English14·2 months agoIn German there’s the saying “macht Sinn”, which is wrong since it’s just a direct translation of “makes sense”. Correct would be “ergibt Sinn”, in English “results in sense”, but I don’t care, “macht Sinn” rolls off the tongue easier.

Companies should belong to the people that allow I to turn a profit, and that is, well, every employee. The founders could still remain the CEOs if they do a good job and are elected to do so.
DivineDev@piefed.socialto politics @lemmy.world•Poll: Zohran Mamdani's policies are popular with Americans outside New York — even if Mamdani is notEnglish91·2 months agoSo progressives must decide whether they hide from the term, enabling the fearmongering, or openly embracing it to show there is nothing wrong with it.
I’ve been wondering, what if they just ran in the opposite direction? Don’t call it “state-owned industry” or “collective ownership”, but instead “Hypercapitalism: every citizen is a shareholder!”
DivineDev@piefed.socialto politics @lemmy.world•Poll: Zohran Mamdani's policies are popular with Americans outside New York — even if Mamdani is notEnglish45·2 months agoExactly, the wording is extremely important when talking about policies. People like “helping the poor”, but people hate “welfare”, because that’s communism or something.
Maybe you should consider that language isn’t fixed and words change meanings all the time, especially recently coined “internet” words.
