Any vaguely political post gets hit by corpo-propaganda bots even on Lemmy. That’s why they sound like they have no idea what’s going on.

The general online labeling of Heinlein as a kind of fascism idealizer (due to the popularity of that book) begins to fall apart when you view him as an author who experimented with different forms of governance in his world building.

I think the other hand is telling every other appendage to make a bunch of noise while it loots the country to answer your question.

Like, subtract the misogyny where it’s automatically assumed it would be the woman but households with children take a lot of work.
I’m asking why as a country, a state, or a community anyone would want illegal immigration
I think you’re already there but the illegal immigrants are here because corporations benefit from the desperate cheap labor. Both parties largely turn a blind eye to the trickle and talk and talk about what to do. I’ve yet to see a proposal where corporations or their leadership face consequences if they’re found to be employing illegal immigrants.
I totally agree with your take on how deportations don’t help.
To play both sides, a lot of immigrants choose to work here for low wages in order to send money back to their families from their home country. They endure horrible conditions and don’t expect much social mobility. Their families usually come from countries hurt by neo capitalism so I get why rekorse criticizes their role as being morally dubious for the citizens of the host country.

And for an increasing number of people, the material wealth part is fading. Then there’s the illusion of democratic participation to which more people are beginning to become cognizant of. Oh boy.

It’s not you who isn’t American, it’s the current governing body.
Third party corruption investigations and prosecutions are needed on every branch of high level government.
The tone is set from the top. Hold the top accountable and the rats will cease to try and climb.

It’s a show. The only thing established party leadership cares about on either side is lining their pockets. The longer they keep us arguing about their disfunction, the more they rob from us. One class. Working class.
I just read that the Indian government told it’s citizens to leave Pakistan if they’re there. Isn’t India a close partner to China? Would India see this in a negative light?
