Gotdamn yall. Some men think it’s hot, some men don’t. Some women do wear makeup for others, some women don’t. More broadly, no one group does anything for a single reason so we need to stop being so combative online about shit posts.

politics @lemmy.world•Mass Murder Is a Choice. The Gun Industry Made ItEnglish
1·2 years agoAt this point I’ll take 10% reduction over 0%. And I think I highlighted the weak point of Maine’s yellow flag law. There was literally a person who could have created distance between the person and his guns, and they didn’t. What would you like to have happen?

22·2 years agoI wholeheartedly reject the Maine mass shooting is a product of gun manufacturers. Maine literally already has yellow flag laws where this guy should have been separated from his firearms when he was admitted to the psych hospital. The Maine mass shooting was a failure of the state and people do not want to accept that. The Sheriff that should have stepped in did not do so and THAT is unacceptable. I’m so over people using tragedies to prove their unrelated points. If gun manufacturers were really the problem we’d see millions of domestic murders based on the fact that there’s like 100 million more guns in circulation than there are citizens of the US.
I’ve never seen a fact this hard in my entire life

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•How can I select Slot 1 when sending to printer?English
1·2 years agoClick “Slice Plate”, then click “Print Plate”. A pop up will appear where it shows your model, print time, and filament cost. That’s where you select what slot in the ams you want to use for the print.
If you’re talking about multi color printing, that’s set up elsewhere. I forgot exactly as I don’t have it right in front of me at the moment.
Hope that helps!

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•3D printer nightmare fuel: Bambu X1C and P1P started printing while owners were asleepEnglish
2·2 years agoX1 Carbon owner here. I’ve had absolutely zero issues with my printer and was not affected by the their recent fumble. I’ve had mine for over 6 months but under a year, & print most days out of the week. I love open source shit, but honestly, in my experience, if you want a set it and forget it, fantastic build quality & speed printer I’d recommend the X1 Carbon in a heartbeat. I’ve heard their slicer is a rip of Cura, I don’t know much about that though, but it’s worked very well for me. All’s I’m saying is that not everyone is having a bad experience with them, but I also can’t see the future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1·2 years agoI’d recommend a Bambu printer. Cost to benefit is pretty good, and they’re very easy to use. Someone touched on their recent misfortune with the cloudstorage thing, which is a fair criticism, but I don’t think it should ice you out from them. I’ve had X1 Carbon, with AMS, for a while now and it has been nothing but an absolute breeze for me to use. Also to note, my printer wasn’t affected at all by their recent issue. I switch my printer off which I think may have removed me from the situation.

My problem is that since the first time I’ve been able to vote, the Democratic party has shown they don’t care about who the people may want. They will actively suppress whoever isn’t their chosen one. And there are cases where they fund ads for their crazy opposition instead of building a meaningful case for their candidate. I voted for Biden originally, and I will not vote for Trump now, but I need more than “vote for me because I’m not the other guy”, especially the second time around. If Trump wins, it’s because the Democratic party shot themselves in the foot. Party cohesion is made by leaders who listen to their constituents.
