What Fediverse software would I like if I previously was a fan of TikTok and Facebook? Friendica perhaps? What else?

People in this thread giving the answers without the context.

    Loops is Tiktok

    Friendica is Facebook

    Pixelfed is Snapchat.

    Mastodon is Twitter

You already found Lemmy, which is reddit.

    Peertube is Youtube.

    Am I missing any?

Yeah it’s basically like Reddit and it’s interoperable with Lemmy and Mbin.

Maybe just imagine them as different ways to view the same content and they each offer their own features.

But essentially they are the Reddit replacement of the fediverse.

Piefed is more like Slide or one of the other alternative Reddit clients

More privacy, cleaner Python code anyone can help improve, less weird rightwing science denialism

As Plume isn’t maintained anymore, there are also a few ActivityPub plugins for WordPress which work very well.

Also Mbin mentioned in other comments for both Reddit and Twitter-inspired experiences

Also maybe worth noting there’s some degree of interoperability between instances? Like Misskey often displaying full text bodies from posts from threads-types of sites, Mastodon running Peertube videos as attached videos, and Mbin, Misskey and Mastodon users being able to follow users on pretty much any instances, and Lemmy and Mbin (and probably Piefed though still to confirm) being able to follow Peertube channels as communities.
