I am religious, but nobody on here wants to hear about it.

On the plus side, blood draws at the doctors office are a breeze!
Its a nosism, but its not a royal we because it is refering to both the speaker and the cat. I believe the Wikipedia page refers to this usage as the patronizing we.

Contrary to what the headline implies, Crumbs didn’t die from the weight loss program, rather from tumors which weren’t detected in time due to the excess weight. Rest in peace Crumbs! 🐱

9·7 months agoNope, it was written “Q-ing” on the “Q-ing Oven” itself, as well as in the training materials and manuals!

22·7 months agoWhen I worked at McDonald’s in 2015, we called it Q-ing. That’s what the official term was. We got in trouble for calling it anything else.

45·9 months agoI have a brother in law who is a therapist, and whenever the subject of finding meaning in dreams comes up, his response is basically: we don’t know what it means, and it’s probably not worth your time to overanalyze it. This is especially true if the dream is a one-off out of the blue. Repetition of the same dream or dream theme might indicate a larger emotional or mental situation, but it might not.

Because I go on Lemmy for the news and for uplifting discussion. Many of my beliefs, such as kindness, compassion, and personal growth do not cause a stir here. However if I discuss some of my other beliefs, I will generally be down voted because the overwhelming majority of users here disagree with me. My goal when using Lemmy is to have constructive conversation, not contention. I want everyone to feel welcome, and in return, I want to feel welcome myself. Hope this gives you some context for my earlier “ignorant statement.” Happy Thanksgiving!
