This is the clutch lever I think? I’ve been riding for 20 months so it would be embarrassing to get this wrong

I don’t just want a relationship because others have one, I want one because I have an innate desire for a relationship. I want to love and be loved, and make love too.
SuperSpruce@lemmy.zipto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•I wonder if the "money can't buy you happiness" people ever lived in a car.3·2 months agoThis is off topic of the main thread but the chart was eye-opening to me about the order of love/belonging and esteem. Much of my insecurity drives from not having a girlfriend or any intimacy, but the only way to get that is be socially adept, but I’m not because being socially adept is a lower priority on the hierarchy of needs than intimacy.

I don’t think it was the thrill, I think it was the lack thereof. She told me that there wasn’t a physical romantic chemistry between us in person. On my short morning date we touched a lot but never kissed, better than my other dates which had basically zero touching.
This is the worst Valentine’s Day in my life. I just got brutally friend zoned from a cute Tinder match yesterday after going on the best date of my life and having so much in common.

By buying foreign products, you pay the US government in whatever import tariff as part of the cost. I’d rather support domestic American businesses over the US government.
SuperSpruce@lemmy.ziptoFactorio@lemmy.ml•How are everyone's Space Age factories going?English1·3 months agoI’ve completed my Vulcanus "mega"base (so just 140spm of red, green, blue, purple, and yellow science), and got Gleba to a state I was happy with. I was consistently making agriculture science and the materials to launch a rocket out of it, and had a logistics system in place to expand the base with bots. I even designed a faster, more fuel-efficient space platform specifically to transfer the agriculture science to Nauvis.
Since walls apparently don’t work I had the weird idea of defending my base with artillery, because I haven’t unlocked any other fancy military stuff yet.
I then went to Fulgora and am currently trying to figure out its entire system. Unfortunately the islands are too far apart for the big electric poles to reach, even with rare quality.
Then, out of nowhere, a medium stomper decided to wreck half of my Gleba base, even though the spores never reached any of the nests. It conveniently avoided the few sections with gun turrets like the Pentapod egg breeding section. I frantically tried to destroy it with artillery, but I kept missing until it decided to just walk around in circles next to my yumako mash processing section. After a few hits, it was dead, but so was my Gleba base. It fragmented both my power and my logistics system, so I’ll need to manually go back to Gleba to fix everything.

Noticed this when I first “went” to Vulcanus, i.e. remotely operated a spaceship to go to Vulcanus and realizing I need to be on the spaceship. This spaceship was damaged enough that it couldn’t make the return journey, and I noticed a climbing evolution factor. It seems to not affect anything though.

How do I maintain privacy in a modern car?81·5 months agoThe problem is that if you actually have a fun spirited drive suddenly your insurance doubles because your car is selling your “hard acceleration and cornering” data to insurance companies.
This is exactly the reason why I want privacy in the first place. The surveillance tech kills all the joy and freedom of driving.

I’m sorry driving isn’t fun, it was never meant to be once we obliterated mass transit in the US. It’s meant to get you to the destination, preferably safely.
You’ve never been in a fun car on a fun twisty back road. This is what driving should be, as we should not be dependent on driving to get everywhere.
I bounce between lawful neutral and chaotic neutral. Huh.
