Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Do guys that cat-call women actually think that women like that stuff or is it that they are like bullies who take pleasure on heckling people to annoy them like in middle and high school?

This morning in Northern California: $4.89/gallon for regular at Costco, which is a good deal in my area, although you have to have a paid membership to get it.

politics @lemmy.world•Newsom finds new way to troll Trump with website tracking president’s ‘criminal cronies’
2·8 months agoMildly annoyed that the graphic artist didn’t bother to manipulate the “mugshots” to reflect actual height. Makes it look like if anyone in Trump’s admin that is 5’8” and a half… straight to jail.

I read an interesting NYT article the other day about the discovery of a high rate of skin cancer in catfish in a lake bordering Vermont and Quebec. By looking at the DNA of the catfish and of the tumors, scientists discovered that the DNA of the tumors didn’t resemble their host like you’d expect, but did resemble the tumors found on all the other fish. They realized they were looking at the first transmissible cancer found in fish. The article noted that contagious cancer has also been found in Tasmanian devils, clams and, yes… dogs.
