There are some disabled by default, filters built into piefed. That the main Dev uses on their instance. It’s not really even remotely the same thing or as controversial. But it’s the closest thing piefed has and gets brought up regularly because of it.

Well, if someone points out the official methodology is designed to undercount. One might want to read said methodology. Apart from that, the Internet is your oyster, as well as cable news. Pick a source you find reputable. Fox and NBC point it out any time its advantageous to their chosen candidate. Even trump remarked on it himself in 2023 to attack biden. There are clips from Maddow from 15 years ago talking about it under Obama too. It’s a chestnut old as time used to attack those in power, but never with intent to fix the systemic problem.

Yes, their methodology. Exclusion of discouraged workers, part-time workers wanting full-time work, and strict “actively seeking work” definitions ensure the numbers don’t actually reflect the reality. But rather the more rosy fiction those in power wish to push.

Yep, the GOP could have refused his nominees. They could call for their expulsion and impeachment right now. There’s no need to “wish”. They could do something any time they fancied. But they are more focused on keeping their jobs, hurting their constituents, but not doing the right thing.

Imagine someone that spends so much time on they make @PugJesus@piefed.social seem like one of the least active users you see. Who seemed to create multiple new communities daily. But had none of the knowledge, self awareness, or insight of PJ.

Talking to them often seemed like engaging with a poorly trained LLM. When they were on .world it wasn’t uncommon for my front page or the all page to be choked with their inane posts. With a volume that would make cm002 or return2ozma seem like they were slacking. Which combined with them creating alternate accounts, ultimately leading to an instance ban for ban evasion iirc.

Last I knew db0 was harboring them. Though honestly I’m sure they have multiple accounts on nearly every server there is.

The cartels are a symptom of an external problem the Mexican government has no ability to address. For every leader they kill, one or more will pop up. Because there’s still a ton of money to be made selling drugs to trump, his kids, his administration, and all the normal people. Just trying to get through their day with the constant barrage of bullshit thrust on them by trump, his kids, his administration, and their enablers.

The cartels can’t. And yes they won’t. This was more that the people complaining about them and drove the attack on them. (Fascists/trump) They are the only ones that could do anything to hurt the cartels. IE make peoples lives better so they don’t seek drugs to escape them. But they don’t care about making lives better or helping anyone but themselves. And anyone appeasing them only hurts themselves.

Yep. I 100% feel for the Mexican government ON THAT POINT. For every kingpin they kill 1-2 will pop up. More vicious and violent than the last. And there’s literally nothing they can do. Because its a response to an external issue they can’t address.

At the behest of a fascist that won’t remember or care. Only earning her a personal target on her back, from a group effectively supported by the actions of the people that complained to her in the first place.

That was literally the implication. They can change their ways and become a benefit to society. Or eliminated to at least cease being a burden.

I wasn’t speaking specifically of the Mexican government more as a general thing. Unfortunately, this is largely out of Mexican government control. The fascist oligarchs in the United States have made the lives of people there so miserable that they need drugs to get by. There’s not much the Mexican government can do about that. As long as that problem exists, the symptoms of cartel leaders rising up to fill that need will always happen.

There is no or with fascists. Only and. And now she’s complicit.
