I’m not using matrix, I have tried it and it’s not suitable for our community. Problem is the ux and that most people in our group are not technically minded. We’re trying out fluxer which is more discord like.

Thank you, the self hosted server so far has gone well

I’m in this discord server for autistic people which has been really nice. We’re in the process of testing out a selfhosted chat server so that we can start moving off discord

not sure where you got the ai built part from, because it isn’t that

huh?

Fluxer recently added self hosting and it has a mobile app in beta and soon to be released, admin from a web GUI, not difficult to host, and has a good amount of discord features. It is somewhat heavy though.

Definitely Codeberg if you don’t want to self host anything
Not sure about chromium ones but it works on all firefox based browsers

It’s nice for you that the instances being blocked just so happen to be ones you don’t like, but did you not consider that there’s probably alot of people who don’t have issues with those instances and don’t find them toxic. Your personal blocklist is there so you can curate your own feed, and that is not what the instance blocklist is for and they aren’t and shouldn’t be treated like the same thing. Tldr, just block an instance in your personal blocklist and move on, no need to make it everyone else’s problem.
Atleast it’s only $1
